Purpose

Perfecting Alliance (PA) will provide an opportunity for pastors of small/young ministries to network and become a source of strength, as well as offer a level of accountability. Through sharing of information, ideas, and resources, the alliance can establish a connection between members and expose networkable resources to the group at large. The alliance will be a support system for those striving to reach their full potential in God.

The Founders Inspiration

After organizing City of Refuge Interdenominational Church, I've learned that as a new ministry starting from the ground up, there are many things that you encounter simply because, many times, you just don't know. Unfortunately, the help or support that you thought you might receive from your experienced peers, you don't receive, thus leaving you to learn through trial and sometimes much error.

I've even attended the Mega Ministry Conferences, like many of you, trying to grasp whatever information I could to better articulate the vision for the ministry, however, much of the information I received could not be implemented at the current stage of the ministry. One reason being was my people were not at the maturity level to carry them out nor were the financial resources there to carry them out. Thank God for the Mega Ministry Conferences and the inspiration they provide, however, it helped more when I could talk to someone who stood right in my shoes at my stage in ministry.

Well, it is through the above-mentioned trials and errors that Perfecting Alliance has been birthed (2005). It is the endeavor of Perfecting Alliance to be a form of support to the small/young ministries of the kingdom. The Mega Giants support each other, so we SMALL GIANTS must learn to do the same. Perfecting Alliance is designed for the small start-up ministry who are in the early years of formation or simply the small ministry that is challenged by the lack of manpower and resources to do ministry. The alliance wants to be a form of support and encouragement to those pastors. Ultimately, the alliance wants to be a form of support to all pastors. Sometimes we just need a safe environment to vent!

The starting of this alliance is not a statement that I have "figured it all out" but that which I have learned, I am willing to share with others in hopes they will not struggle unnecessarily. (Some struggle is necessary for the "perfecting" of our faith and trust in God.) In addition, there may be some experiences that you have that  will be beneficial to others and myself as well. I've come to realize that I can't do it by myself nor do I believe that Christ desires for us to be an island to ourselves.

This is not a club, click, or fellowship (in the literal sense) but a serious union for those who desire to excel in excellence to their God ordained destiny. Neither is the alliance an opportunity for Pastor Brian to become your "Bishop". (However, I do strongly recommend that you be accountable to your spiritual fathers if you have one; pray for one if you do not.) It is the desire of the alliance to connect "like minds" in ministry together.
